Discourse Goblins is a browser-based parody trading-card generator. It is built to collect as little as possible about you. This page explains exactly what is and isn't collected.

What we collect

Your email address — only if you choose to submit it. The email field is optional and appears only after you make a card. Nothing is submitted unless you enter an address and tap “Join”.
Nothing else about you. There are no accounts, no passwords, no cookies, no localStorage, and no advertising or analytics trackers. The card is generated entirely in your browser.

The counter and the “Fresh off the press” wall

When a card is downloaded or shared, the site increments an anonymous public counter and adds the card’s trait choices (a short list of numbers) to a rolling feed of the last twelve cards. This contains no personal data and no images, is not tied to you, and rolls over continuously. It is not a permanent record.

How your email is used

Only to contact you about this project — for example, if the set ever becomes a collection.
Your address is stored with our email provider, Resend, whose systems send any messages.
We will not sell your email or share it for others’ marketing.
Legal basis (UK/EU GDPR): your consent, given when you submit the form. You may withdraw it at any time (see below).

Unsubscribing and deletion

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Using it stops all future mail immediately.
To have your address deleted entirely, email privacy@discoursegoblins.com and we will remove it.
You may also request a copy of the data we hold about you (it is just your email address and its subscription status).

Retention

We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Service providers

Resend — email list and delivery.
Supabase — stores the anonymous counter and the rolling card feed. No personal data.
Vercel — hosting. Standard server logs (including IP address) are processed transiently to serve the site and to rate-limit abuse.

Children

This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this notice changes materially, the effective date above will be updated.
